The Road Not Taken
One of my favourite poems by Robert Frost, is The Road Not Taken. It is a rough hewn poem, rustic and full of country images. But more it expresses the recollections of an old man as he thinks back to times gone by and decisions made.
In the Scottish play, Shakespeare asks the question: If you can look into the seeds of time, and say which grain will grow and which will not, speak then unto me.
So as we start another year, stepping out without fear or trepidation, can we wonder a little if there may be ways we should consider. Are their cautionary lessons we should carry with us from times passed? Of course there are.
But just as important should be the willingness to try new directions, different approaches and hopes for times to come.
Audace. Audace. Life is for those willing to embrace the adventure!
