Suffering From PVD In Charleston
April 23rd 2009 03:52
Hi I'm Steve and I suffer from P.V.D. In my day job those initials refer to peripheral vascular disease, a condition that affects the circulatory system, but in my journeys as a weekend warrior they refer to a condition I call post vacation disorder.
Now to be totally honest my condition is sporadic. Most all of my travels end with the same conclusion, It's a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.” That is definitely not the case with one of my favorite destinations, Charleston. Each time I visit, I find myself scoping out houses and checking the job market.
For food lovers, the ocean provides fresh seafood for the majority of the year and the open markets let you battle the top chefs for the best produce. I think I could probably eat at a different restaurant everyday for months without enduring a bad meal.
Did I mention the art community? One bonus about combining a great climate with a dedication to promoting art, is attracting some very talented artists to your city. Many of the cities events are annually named to the prestigious Top 20 Events In The South.
Charleston's best asset may be its willingness to embrace the future while honoring the past. Some of the most beautiful and oldest plantations are located here, while at the same time the city can match any other city for business's needs. The numerous parks are well kept to provide tourists and locals many opportunities for spaces to unwind.
Happy Traveling,
Steven Gann
