Effective immediately we have an opening in our entertainment department. There is no salary but the right applicant will receive free room and meals in a four star hotel.

Hours: 11am to 5pm 7 days a week

Job Description: Must be friendly and be able to deliver excellent customer service to our guests in our central atrium.

Qualifications: Must be able to swim up to six hours without stopping and be a duck.

For over seventy-five years the ducks of the Peabody hotel in Memphis have made their trek down the elevator, where they reside in a 5th floor penthouse, to the hotel's fountain. They then play and entertain guests until the red carpet comes out at 5pm and they return to their evening roosts.

If you are in the area definitely take in the ducks daily migration.

Next Round - New Directions

January 27th 2007 03:08
Taking stock of where we are and what we are doing - is always a necessary part of life. The new year is traditionally the time for this. While the grapes are fresh on the vine, we look about us with a certain elan. We are fired by the possibilies of a future untrammelled by disaster or past mistakes. That is the theory of it anyway.

What we do learn is the importance of persistence. But it is not enough to just try, try and try again. It is also important to develop new initiatives, new approaches, new tools of promotion and new campaigns for new seasons

Setting Up an Incubator!

When I was a kid, mum used to hatch chickens with an electric blanket and an old tea cosy in an old wooden box. So what can we do to grow our film industry

The New Age Myths

Aladdin vs Jeannie
When I was a lad my father would read to me. From May Gibbs classics to The Adventures of Robin Hood, everything was grist for the mill. We also used to listen to radio serials togther. Everything from The Advenures of Superman to Journey Into Space. Dad's gone now but the memory of those times togther lingers on.

The Fruit of Success

Urban Myths and the Path to Success

We all know the story. The writer struggles for years striving for success. Starving for his art, he sits in his attic doing what he can make the magic happen

Knockin' on Doors

November 16th 2006 00:40
Sometimes the Biggest Challenge is to Say Hello!

It's that time again. Halloween has come and gone and it is time for me to don my super hero costume and hoist myself into the self promotion mode. There is no magic formula which brings success, 'cos if there was I could sell it by the truck load and make a fortune. What I do know is that you have to stand on the mountain, scream loudly and be prepared to make a fool of yourself. Otherwise, how will people remember you
