National Parks To Waive Fees
June 2nd 2009 23:22
The National Park Service announced today that it will be waiving all fees for one weekend in each summer month at all of the 147 national parks. This is great news for families who might be having to scale down or outright cancel their summer plans.
With all of the parks in the U.S. there is certain to be one within driving distance of your house. The parks offer fantastic scenery, hiking trails, history lessons, and good quiet relaxation.
If I were the National Park Czar, I would permanently end all fees and tastefully quadruple the donation bins. This would insure that all Americans could see the beauty that our country has to offer.
